Poppy Red Productions, Graze Food Hall, and the Minnesota Twins present Rock the Hall, returning for its second season. Andra Suchy joins the local outdoor music series on September 12 from 3:30–5:30 PM. FREE & OPEN TO ALL—just steps from Target Field.

Andra Suchy, a North Dakota native, hails from a talented and musical family. Renowned for having one of the finest voices in the industry, Andra is classically trained and a veteran of musical theater. Her illustrious career includes performances with esteemed artists such as Brad Paisley, Mindy Smith, Emmylou Harris, Chris Thile, John Prine, and soprano Renee Fleming. She has also collaborated on recordings with a diverse array of indie, rock, blues, and folk acts, including The Honeydogs, Jonny Lang, Peter Ostroushko, and Soul Asylum’s Dave Pirner.

Andra has graced some of the most prestigious stages globally, including The Ryman Auditorium, First Avenue, and The Bohemian Hall. She is or was also a regular performer on the nationally acclaimed radio show, A Prairie Home Companion.

While primarily known for her vocal prowess, Andra has quietly been honing her songwriting craft. In 2006, she self-released her solo album, Patchwork Story. Later, she signed with the Grammy-winning label Red House Records and released her album Little Heart on March 27, 2012. This album, filled with infectious originals, is a twang-tinged mix of country, rock, folk, and blues, and has become a favorite on Americana and AAA radio stations. Generating significant buzz and media interest, her second solo release, Little Heart, established Andra as a prominent voice in country, Americana, and roots music. Throughout 2012, Andra toured in support of the album, showcasing at various festivals, including South By Southwest (SXSW) and the International Folk Alliance Conference in Memphis.

Affectionately known as “Auntie Andra” by her nieces and nephews, who she proudly adores, Andra balances her professional life with a rich family life. She shares her home with her three cats and a supportive partner who has been encouraging throughout her career resurgence. Beyond her musical endeavors, Andra finds joy and passion in gardening and working out whenever time allows.
